50 AIRBUS Group Standard Parts Buyers discovered retail distribution logistics management services with Denjean Logistique. 

They will no longer do their shopping in retail distribution as they used to!
50 Airbus Group Standard Parts Buyers from Spain, England, Germany and France were greeted by Denjean Logistique in order to discover the operation of Intermarché retailer distribution platform located in Montbarbier.

‘Logistics is a key element for our aeronautical business. We are regularly looking for new activities and sectors.’, said Aline Boutant from Airbus, the architect planner of this meeting.

The morning program began with the description of characteristics and features of flows for large retailers, followed by a meeting with operational teams and an in-depth visit of the warehouse in room temperature storage areas being run by Denjean Logistique and frozen refrigeration storage areas run by Stef.

‘This visit enabled us to find out problems and constraints different from those we meet in our daily work: very short cycle times, extreme temperatures, variability of flows and items. The buyers were interested by the visit and we received unanimous positive feedback! This will provide fuel for our considerations and contribute to identify new ways of improvement’, underlined Marie-Pierre Courtier, VP Standard Parts Procurement for Airbus.
